Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf.D half-track carrier of late production in 1:35 scale from Snowman Model. The key asset of the kit is the complete (full) interior: the model renders a finely detailed inner compartment of the hull, so it shows even with the hatches or panels open. Photo-etched parts are included in the box as well. Check the exact part count and the decals against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Sd.Kfz.251 (Schützenpanzerwagen, nicknamed the Hanomag after its maker) was the standard German half-track armored personnel carrier of the Second World War. The 251/1 variant served to carry units of armored infantry (Panzergrenadiere) into the combat area. The late production Ausf.D form had a simplified, more economical hull with sloping sides and was used in large numbers from 1943 until the end of the war.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and attach the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Because of the full interior, first assemble, paint and highlight the inner compartment and the running gear, and only then close up the hull, otherwise the details cannot be reached later. After the base color and the clear coat, bring out the details with a wash and apply weathering with pigments (dust and mud) to the running gear, the tracks and the lower areas.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
