Eduard 1:48 wheels for the F-104 (late) is a resin detail set of landing gear wheels for models of the F-104 Starfighter.

This set from the Eduard Brassin resin range contains finely cast landing gear wheels in 1:48 scale for the late versions of the F-104 Starfighter. The set usually includes the main landing gear wheels and the nose wheel, and with them a masking stencil for spraying. The wheels replace the plastic parts from the model with a finer and more accurate rendering with a realistic tread pattern.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was an American supersonic interceptor and multirole fighter with a characteristic slender fuselage and short wings. It served from the late 1950s with many NATO air forces and other states. The late versions had modified landing gear and wheels compared with the early machines.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The mask enclosed makes a clean transition between the tire and the hub easier - tires tend to be dark gray, and the hubs are painted according to the particular machine. The weighted shape of the wheels gives a standing aircraft model its realism.
The detail set does not contain the aircraft model, paints or glue. Intended for more experienced modelers.
