A set of precisely cast workable white metal tracks for M4 Sherman tanks with T-66 type tracks in 1:35 scale. This is not a model or a kit of a whole tank but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic or rubber tracks from a boxed kit. Each link is a separate metal casting, and once assembled the whole track moves freely.
Workable metal tracks give the running gear a realistic weight and, above all, allow the natural sag of the track between the road wheels and the return rollers, which rigid plastic parts cannot imitate faithfully. T-66 type tracks were among the later types used on M4 Sherman machines.
Clean the links of casting remains, connect them with cut lengths of wire that serve as pins, and assemble a continuous track. Join the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). A metal surface holds paint and pigments very well; we suggest a base coat of primer and then washes and pigments for mud and wear effects.
This is a detail accessory, not a vehicle model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
