The SH-60F Ocean Hawk is a shipboard helicopter of the US Navy derived from the Seahawk family. Building and painting tips

Before applying them, check in the instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive or whether they are soaked. The damage runs one way only: a self-adhesive element is ruined for good by soaking, whereas a wet decal that has not been soaked can be put right. Only start with water, therefore, when the instructions expressly call for it. Leave the surface under the elements smooth, clean and degreased and let the paint under them cure properly; fresh paint is easily marked or comes away with the element. Seat the elements with fine-tipped tweezers and press them down with a soft stick so that they take the shape of the part without the edges lifting.
