The plastic figure set Soviet Infantry, Berlin 1945 in 1:35 scale from Zvezda — five Red Army figures in a street grouping for dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic figure set from Zvezda in 1:35 scale. It holds five figures of Red Army soldiers from the fighting for Berlin at the end of the Second World War. The figures are armed with period weapons including PPS-43 submachine guns, a Degtyarev light machine gun and a ROKS-2 backpack flamethrower. The set fits well into Eastern Front scenes and urban dioramas.
The battle of Berlin in the spring of 1945 was one of the last great engagements of the war in Europe. The fighting in the city went house by house, where submachine guns came into their own at close quarters, machine guns for fire support and flamethrowers against fortified positions. The gear and armament of the set render that phase of the fighting faithfully.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and clean up the parting lines. Apply a primer before painting. Build the uniforms up from a base khaki shade, darken the hollows with a wash and lighten the edges with a dry brush. Build the flesh tones of the faces in layers; paint the weapons and the metal of the gear separately. For an urban diorama, dust pigments and a suggestion of rubble suit well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
