An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet heavy 152 mm ML-20 gun-howitzer mounted on a carriage of the M-46 type. The set contains a larger number of parts, a turned metal gun barrel, photo-etched parts and rubber tires; the model is built from individual parts and is meant to be glued and painted.
The ML-20 is a Soviet 152 mm gun-howitzer that was among the mainstays of corps and army artillery during the Second World War and served in postwar conflicts as well. In this form the weapon is combined with the later M-46 carriage, which allows it to be moved on wheels behind a tractor. The weapon is marked out by a long barrel and a massive recoil system.
Work from the carriage and the running gear toward the barrel; fine-tune and deburr the turned metal gun barrel. Fit the rubber tires only once painting is done. An airbrush with a primer suits the overall finish, with washes into the recesses of the mechanism and dust pigments on the wheels and the lower areas. The weapon is an excellent fit for a diorama with a crew.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
