A set of stowage and equipment for the British Humber Scout Car armored reconnaissance vehicle in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. A resin accessory to a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin stowage set in 1:35 scale for the model of the British Humber Scout Car light armored reconnaissance vehicle. It holds castings of the equipment crews carried on the hull and the fenders, typically rolled tarpaulins, covers, packs, crates and other small items. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory to it.
A reconnaissance car was small and the crew had limited room inside, so the equipment was carried on the outside, fastened to whatever surfaces were available. A model built exactly to the kit therefore looks unusually empty. A stowage set deals with that difference faster than anything else: the individual pieces are fitted in the places where they would really have lain in service, and the vehicle immediately gains individuality. The arrangement also helps to cover less accurate places on the kit and to break up empty areas.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the surfaces down wet with your airways protected. It is glued with super glue, so try the arrangement dry first and only then glue it. Paint the stowage apart from the vehicle and attach it only once the base coat is finished, as otherwise you would not reach the undersides. Vary the shades of textile, wood and canvas, because uniform coloring is the most common reason why stowage looks like one fused lump. A wash in the hollows and a light dry brush on the edges then round the whole effect off.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
