A resin accessory set for building the British Rolls-Royce armored car in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit of the vehicle but cast accessories that are placed on the hull, the fenders and the carriers of the base model. The castings are shaped after the faces of this type, so the stowage on the model holds a logical position and does not look like a bundle glued on afterwards.
Rolls-Royce armored cars are among the longest serving vehicles of their kind — they came about in the First World War and in modified forms served long after it, above all on patrol duty in remote and desert areas. It was exactly that kind of service that meant a crew carried supplies, jerrycans, tools and personal equipment with them. Stowage on a model is therefore not just decoration: on this type it is a characteristic feature that gives the vehicle scale, adds color contrast against a uniform body and breaks up large empty faces of metal.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a disc and sand the mating surfaces wet and with your breathing protected. First lay the parts out dry and find a composition, and only then glue them with super glue. Painting is easiest when you spray each object separately before gluing it on — canvas matte and faded, metal darker with scuffed edges, wood in warm tones, leather with a deeper gloss. Then unify the finished whole with a fine wash into the gaps and a shared layer of dust, so that the stowage and the vehicle look like one scene from one setting.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and the model of the vehicle is not part of the package. Glue, paints and other accessories are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
