This is a resin detail accessory for models of the German assault gun StuG III Ausf. G in 1:35 scale, not a complete kit. The set brings the upper hull together with the barrel, on which a canvas cover is rendered as a motif. It replaces the corresponding plastic parts from the box with a more faithful and more detailed casting.
The StuG III Ausf. G was the most widespread version of the German assault gun based on the chassis of the Panzer III tank. It served both as an infantry support gun and against tanks, and it was used in the later phase of the Second World War. Canvas covers over the barrel were among the field modifications of the period.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut the casting blocks away and sand the seating surfaces. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways when sanding resin. Spray a primer before painting; the canvas surface comes out well after a wash and a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
