1:35 Stůl a stolička

Table and stool in 1:35 scale

This is a diorama accessory, not a vehicle model. Furniture is the element in a scene that immediately says someone lives or works here. A table with a stool turns a bare corner into a parlor, a yard into a tavern, a cellar into a hideout or an empty room into a headquarters. It also gives the scene vertical structure: a figure can sit, lean, put something on the table, and at once it becomes a person doing something rather than a shape standing in space. The 1:35 scale matches the usual models of military vehicles and figures.

Building and painting tips

• Wash the parts first in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry.
• Assemble the legs on a flat surface, a twisted table shows at once.
• Glue them with cyanoacrylate and apply a primer before painting.
• Paint the wood with a glaze over a light base, not with a flat brown.
• Make the tabletop different from the frame, on real furniture it was worn smooth and lighter.
• Add small objects on the table, only then does the scene come alive and the furniture stop being a prop.

Who it is for

The accessory suits builders of military and civilian dioramas who build interiors and yards, and modelers who want surroundings for their figures. The work is simple and a beginner can manage it, because the hardest part is only deciding where to put the furniture.

It is not a model of a vehicle or of any other equipment. Paints, glue and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
