A photo-etched Zimmerit set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale, meant for detailing a model of the German Sturmtiger assault vehicle. The formed photo-etched parts faithfully imitate Zimmerit, the paste-like anti-magnetic coating with which German vehicles were protected against magnetic mines in the Second World War. It is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory that replaces the long job of applying and shaping Zimmerit by hand.
The Sturmtiger was a heavy German assault vehicle built on the chassis of the Tiger I tank. It carried a massive 380 mm rocket mortar meant for destroying fortifications and built-up areas in urban fighting. Only a small number were built; the massive armor and the enormous barrel make the Sturmtiger one of the most striking German machines of the end of the war.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
