Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale. The model captures the projected combination of the hull of the E-100 superheavy tank with a Maus-type turret, that is, a form preserved in the design documents but never completed. The package contents, the number of parts and the type of tracks are stated on the kit box.
The E-100 was a German superheavy tank project from the end of the Second World War, part of the so-called E series, which was meant to unify the design of armored vehicles into a few weight classes. By the end of the war only an unfinished chassis existed, without a turret and without a power unit in final form. The turret under consideration was derived from the design for the Maus tank, that is, from a massive cast shell with a large-caliber gun and a coaxial barrel of smaller caliber. The kit therefore covers a technically documented project, not a production vehicle.
On a hull this large the running gear is the key: seat the wheels in one plane and let the cement cure thoroughly before you start on the tracks. Paint the hull and the inner surfaces before you close it up with the upper parts. Large flat areas invite a dull result, so color modulation helps, that is, a lighter center of the surfaces and darker edges. Before the decals, varnish the surfaces with a gloss coat compatible with the paint you used. Build the weathering up in layers: a wash into the engraved lines, fine dust on the lower part and a dry brush on the edges and the raised details.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
