An injection-molded plastic model of the Swedish fast assault craft CB90 (Combat Boat 90) in 1:35 scale from the production of the Tiger Model brand. The kit captures a modern combat vessel with the sharp shapes of its hull, a roomy deck and its fittings. It is a striking model of a contemporary craft suitable for a stand as well as for a water diorama.
The CB90 (Combat Boat 90, in Swedish Stridsbåt 90) is a class of fast assault craft developed for the Swedish Navy. It entered service at the beginning of the 1990s and is still in use with a number of navies today. Thanks to a pair of waterjets it reaches high speed and can operate even in shallow coastal waters. It serves for the rapid movement and landing of troops, for coastal patrol duty and for fire support; it will carry a fully armed infantry squad.
Assemble the hull carefully and fill the joints; think through whether you will set the model on a stand or into a diorama with a water surface. Paint and fit the deck, the superstructure and the fittings according to the instructions. Glue the plastic parts with modeling cement for plastic, and any metal and photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After a coat of primer and airbrushed paint in a modern gray shade, indicate the waterline and fine wear.
