Rear fuel tanks for the T-34/76 in 1:35 from PANZER ART, in the large pattern. A resin accessory for the kit, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set in 1:35 scale contains external fuel tanks for the rear of the Soviet T-34 tank in the version with the 76 mm gun, in the large pattern. It is not a kit but an accessory that adds a prominent feature to the hull of the model. The castings have raised weld seams, the straps of the mounts and the unevenness of the sheet metal, so they look like thin pressed material rather than solid blocks.
The T-34 had a limited internal fuel supply and its range was extended by auxiliary fuel tanks hung on the outside, at the rear or on the sides of the hull. The pattern changed several times during the war, from angular tanks to cylindrical ones, and their shape is one of the clues for identifying the production series of a vehicle. The tanks were unprotected and in wartime photographs they are often dented or missing altogether.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water and remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, level the surface with a file and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Resin is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. Dry-fit the tanks before gluing and check that the mounts sit on the rear of your particular model. Stains of spilled fuel around the filler neck will add credibility to the whole.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
