Emhar Tadpole is a plastic kit of the British Mk IV tank of the First World War with a lengthened rear end in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British First World War tank in the Tadpole variant in 1:35 scale from Emhar. It is a Mk IV with an experimentally lengthened rear end, which was meant to allow wider trenches to be crossed. The box also contains a rear mortar. The tracks are multi-part, in a flexible vinyl material.
The British Mk IV tank was one of the first combat tanks used on a large scale in the First World War. The Tadpole modification lengthened the tracks and the rear of the hull by several feet, so that the vehicle would cross wide trenches better. The structural problems were never fully solved by the end of the war, however, and the modification saw effectively no use in combat.
Finish and paint the interior and the running gear before closing the hull. Seat the vinyl tracks carefully according to the instructions. Spraying the model with an airbrush over a base filler is recommended, finished off with washes and pigments for the impression of mud and wear on vehicles of the period.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
