Responsibility details are not available.
An accurately cast resin radial engine for the Soviet Antonov An-2 utility biplane in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part that will replace the simplified plastic engine from the base kit and raise the fidelity of the front end of the aircraft, not a standalone aircraft model.
The Antonov An-2 is a single-engine utility biplane powered by a nine-cylinder Shvetsov ASh-62 radial of around 1000 horsepower. It is precisely the massive radial unit that gives the aircraft its characteristic look and allows it short take-off and landing. The aircraft has served from the late 1940s to the present day.
Resin parts call for more careful work than plastic: first wash them to remove the mold release agent, separate them carefully from the casting block and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways while sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. Once painted, bring the engine to life with a dry brush and a gentle wash, so that the cylinder fins and the plumbing stand out, and only then cover it with the cowling.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
