This is NOT a model, but a universal photo-etched detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:35 scale. It contains etched parts in steel representing American tie-down straps, lashings and securing fittings of the kind used to hold down cargo, equipment and materiel on vehicles and trailers. The steel version is springy and tough, well suited to being shaped into taut straps.
The straps and lashings liven up the surfaces of armored and cargo vehicles, trailers and diorama accessories. They add a realistic sense of secured cargo and can be used across many models in this scale, as they are not tied to a single type of vehicle.
Steel etched parts are springier and stronger than brass, so make the bends slowly and along the pressed grooves. Bond them exclusively with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the surface before painting and use a primer for good adhesion.
