An injection-molded plastic figure set, the U.S. Army Assault Infantry Set, in 1:35 scale from Tamiya: six figures of American assault infantry of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic set of six figures of American assault infantry in 1:35 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya. The set consists of two non-commissioned officers and four riflemen in dynamic combat poses: the commander is giving orders and the riflemen are waiting for the signal to attack. The figures suit dioramas and standalone display and are compatible with the other Tamiya kits in 1:35 scale.
The set captures American soldiers in Second World War equipment. The soldiers wear M1941 and M1943 pattern field jackets and canvas leggings. The package offers a rich selection of weapons: M1 Garand self-loading rifles, an M1 rifle with a rifle grenade launcher, an M1 carbine, a Thompson M1A1 submachine gun and a BAR M1918A2 automatic rifle with a bipod, complemented by grenades, bayonets, canteens and packs.
Carefully cut the small parts from the sprues and fit them with thin cement for plastic, and clean up the mold lines. Apply a primer before painting. Shade and highlight the faces and hands, and pick out the olive drab uniform with a dry brush and a fine wash. Paint the weapons and equipment last.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
