The set works a US Army sniper team from the period of the war in Vietnam up as cast resin figures in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of equipment but an accessory for dioramas and display case scenes. The figures are conceived as a team working together, so they hold together compositionally and will create comprehensible action in a scene even without further equipment. The castings are unassembled and unpainted.
A sniper team worked as a well-drilled pair of roles - one soldier does the shooting, the other observes, assesses targets and watches the surroundings. The modeling workmanship matches that: the figures have different carriage of the body and different equipment, with the spotter usually equipped with optics. The set suits terrain scenes with vegetation, ruins and elevated positions.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent because of the release agent from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, sand the surfaces down wet with respiratory protection and glue the parts with cyanoacrylate super glue. Lay the composition of the two figures out dry before painting - with a team scene the mutual turn matters and it is hard to change once painted. Apply a thin base coat, paint the uniforms in layers from the shadows to the lights and unify them with a wash. If you choose camouflage patterns on the figures, carry them in subdued contrast, or in 1:35 scale they will optically break the shape of the figure up.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
