UA517 - Dark Ocean Blue FS35042

Lifecolor Dark Ocean Blue FS35042 (acrylic paint 22 ml)

A matte water-thinnable acrylic paint in a 22 ml bottle. A dark blue aircraft shade matching the FS 35042 reference, typical of US naval aviation. The paint creates a fine matte surface suitable for scale models and for subsequent weathering.

Use

• Applied with a brush as well as an airbrush; it holds on plastic, resin and metal.
• For an airbrush it is thinned with water or Lifecolor thinner to a milky consistency and sprayed at low pressure (approximately 10 to 20 psi).
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
• A matte base takes washes and filters well; under decals use a compatible gloss varnish.

Who it is for

For aircraft modelers who build US Navy machines and need a faithful dark blue to the FS 35042 reference.

The paint is water-thinnable and safe in normal handling. Work in a ventilated room, close the container well after use and keep out of the reach of children.
