A figure of an American tanker in winter clothing in 1:35 scale from the Polish brand PANZER ART, a resin casting to be glued and painted yourself.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure in 1:35 scale, the manufacturer's part number FI35-004. It represents a member of the crew of an American tank in winter gear and is intended for a diorama or for manning the hatches of a finished model. A standing man comes out at roughly five centimeters in this scale.
For the winter, American armored crews received a short insulated jacket with a knitted collar and knitted cuffs, known among the soldiers as the tanker jacket, and bib-front insulated overall trousers to go with it. The clothing was worn mainly in Europe in the winters of 1944 and 1945, in the Ardennes and farther on at the Rhine, and it became so well known that it was worn even by units that had nothing to do with tanks. The figure suits Shermans as well as light tanks of the same period.
First wash the resin castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release agent disappears from them, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or cutting pliers, do not snap them, and sand them under water with respiratory protection, because resin dust should not be inhaled. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue; ordinary cement for plastic does not attack resin. A primer is needed before painting.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
