A set of the American M-60 general purpose machine gun in 1:35 scale. It holds two examples of the weapon. It is not a kit of a vehicle but an accessory: the machine gun can be put into the hands of a figure, mounted on a vehicle or laid into a scene.
The M-60 was an American general purpose machine gun for the 7.62 mm round, fed by a belt. It replaced older weapons and served as the fire support of an infantry squad as well as a weapon on vehicles and in helicopters. Its distinguishing marks are the long barrel with a gas take-off, the bipod and the massive shoulder stock. It served for decades and went through successive reworkings, so its form differs between early and later examples.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Cut the casting blocks off and level the area, and protect your breathing while sanding. It is glued with super glue. The weapon looks best after a dark base and a light polish with a metallic shade on the edges the crew touch. Set the belt apart with a brass color. Before fitting it to a figure, check that the hands really reach the weapon.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints are not included in the box.
