This is a Black Dog accessory set for the American M10 tank destroyer in 1:35. It is not a vehicle kit: it is an accessory that is added to a finished model. On the M10 that makes exceptional sense, because the open turret without a roof is visible right through on a model, and the material loaded around it was part of the typical look of these vehicles in the field.
The M10 was an American tank destroyer built on the chassis of the Sherman medium tank. It carried a 3-inch gun in an open powered turret whose rear was balanced by a conspicuous counterweight. The philosophy behind American tank destroyers rested on speed and firepower at the expense of armor, which was thin and steeply sloped. The vehicle was in action from 1943 in North Africa, then in Italy and in western Europe, it was worked by a crew of five, and the British version with the 17-pounder anti-tank gun became famous under a name of its own. The open turret gave good visibility but left the crew exposed to shell splinters, so the vehicles carried improvised protection and every kind of equipment imaginable.
Fit the accessories dry first and consider how much to put on the vehicle: less is usually more believable than an overloaded bed. Paint them away from the model, keep the textile and leather surfaces flat and the metal ones slightly glossier. Toning into the folds and a fine picking out of the edges will give volume, and a final dusting with pigments pulls the model and the accessories together into one whole.
