The real subject

The Su-27 is a Soviet and later Russian twin-engine air superiority fighter from the Sukhoi design bureau, taken into service in the 1980s. It came about as an answer to the American heavy fighters and is typically compared with the F-15 Eagle. It stands out for its long range, heavy armament and high agility; it is powered by two turbojets and the aircraft reaches a speed of around Mach 2. It became the basis of a whole family of derived types.

Building and painting tips

Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement and sand the joints of the fuselage and the leading edges carefully. Finish the interior of the cockpit and fit the seat before you close the fuselage halves, because once they are glued, access is limited. Fit the cockpit glazing only after painting and protect it with masks. Before spraying, a primer and an airbrush are recommended, with possible accentuation of the panel lines; fit the external stores and the pylons at the end of the build.
