The resin detail set US M26 Pershing Canvas covered Mantlet set – Early type in 1:35 scale replaces the gun mantlet with a convincing part that has the canvas cover modeled on, of the kind used to seal the gap between the mantlet and the turret. The set is from DEF Model and corresponds to the early type of M26 Pershing.
The canvas cover over the mantlet is a prominent fabric detail that gives the turret a realistic look with folds and sagging cloth. This is an accessory, not a vehicle kit in its own right.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut the casting block off and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue; a small adjustment may be needed where it seats. The folds of the fabric come into their own after a wash and dry-brushing. Sand with respiratory protection.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
