DEF Model 1:35 M4A3E2 Jumbo frontal armor with barrel is a resin detail set of improvised frontal armor and a turned barrel for the Asuka kit of the Sherman Jumbo.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is NOT a model of the tank but a resin detail set from the South Korean maker DEF Model in 1:35 scale. It is meant for the Asuka kit of the heavily armored American M4A3E2 Jumbo Sherman. The set captures the improvised frontal armor reinforced with concrete as the crews added it in the field, and adds a turned metal 76 mm M1A1C barrel with the bore indicated.
The parts are fitted to the nose and into the turret of the base kit in place of or in addition to the parts from the box and raise the fidelity of a combat-modified vehicle. The metal barrel refines the shape and resists damage better. The accessory is meant for more experienced modelers.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and the gates and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Bring out the concrete texture with a wash and a dry brush. Do any sanding of resin with respiratory protection.
