A resin figure sold singly, from the figure line of Black Dog. The name places it in the phase after the jump and marks it as the second version, that is as a variation of stance meant to be used together with the other figures of the same theme.
Two figures in the same phase of the action give a scene time: one is already doing something, the other is only getting up. That is exactly what sets a well-built view apart from a row of figures in one line. When you use both poses at once, turn them so that a relationship arises between them; it is enough for one to look toward the other. Leave the space between them empty, because the viewer will fill in the action himself.
After a jump the equipment is no longer in order, and that can be expressed with the means of painting. Suggest the scuffed places on the straps and the edges of the pockets with a lighter shade of the same color, not with a metallic cast. Use oils in the folds, which let the transition be blended gradually and leave no sharp edge. Leave the face a little more pronounced than the rest of the figure: in a terrain scene, where everything is muted, it draws the eye first and decides how the whole view feels. Only at the very end add the dust and dry stalks, so that the figure merges visually with the groundwork.
