1:35 US Paratrooper Officer Checking the Map (Normandy 1944) is a figure of an American officer bent over a map. 1:35 scale, the Dynamo-Models brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
A single figure concentrating on a spread-out map, a ratio of 1:35 was created at the Dynamo-Models brand. The soldier is captured with his head lowered and his hands in front of his body, his weight resting on one leg. The time setting of Normandy 1944 is part of the name and also determines the form of his equipment.
A figure concentrating on one object is more valuable for a diorama than a figure standing with no task. Several others can be logically arranged around such a figure, looking in the same direction, and the scene makes sense at once without a single caption. A rewarding placing is by the front fender of a vehicle, at the edge of a ditch or by a signpost.
A jump jacket has an unusual number of pockets and seams for its area, so a dark glaze into the engraved lines will do most of the work for you. Leave the map light and slightly yellowed, otherwise it will merge with the hands. A small drawing with a fine pencil or very thinned paint is enough; the detail cannot be read at this ratio anyway. Bring the paper out with a thin line of shadow along the folds, so that it does not look like a flat plate stuck to the hands.
