A set of workable plastic track links of the T91E3 type in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. This is not a vehicle model but a set of replacement tracks that are built up from individual links and stay movable once assembled. The finished track follows the sag over the road wheels better than the track from the original kit.
T91E3 tracks belong to the American M41 Walker Bulldog light tank and to the antiaircraft M42 Duster. Workable links allow the track to be seated faithfully with a realistic sag above the road wheels, a detail that stands out especially on a finished model. The set usually holds links, pads and connecting pins plus a jig for easier assembly.
Clean the flash off the links, assemble them on the jig and glue sparingly so that the track stays movable. Paint them separately from the hull, add a dark wash and pick out the chipped metal edges with drybrushing. Dust and mud pigments on the running surfaces give the track life.
