Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M48A3 Patton medium tank armed with a 90 mm gun, 1:35 scale, made by Tamiya. The model captures the vehicle in the form in which American forces used it during the Vietnam War; it is built unassembled and unpainted.
Development of the M48 family of medium tanks began at the start of the 1950s. The M48A3 version was an upgraded form which received a turbocharged diesel engine in place of a gasoline one and an improved fire control system. The tank was armed with a 90 mm M41 gun, a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun and a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun in the commander's cupola. The M48A3 left a marked mark on the fighting in Vietnam.
With a tank, first finish the running gear and the lower hull before you close the upper areas. Glue the joints with thin cement for plastic. After spraying the primer, choose an olive green scheme; emphasize the recesses and the engraving with a dark wash, pick out the edges with a dry brush and complete the mud and dust effects on the running gear with pigments for a faithful Vietnam look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
