A set of two crew figures for the turret of a Panther tank in the Waffen-SS version, 1:35 scale, with the subject of Operation Zitadelle.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Panther was among the main German medium tanks of the Second World War, and its turret with its hatches is always in plain view on a model. According to the name the set holds two crew figures in the version of the tank units of the Waffen-SS and it declares itself to the German offensive on the eastern front of 1943, which carried the code designation Zitadelle.
Empty hatches come across on a finished model as unfinished work. Two figures allow the turret to be occupied so that the scene has action: one man looks elsewhere than the other and a relationship arises between them that a tank alone will never create. The figures at the same time give the model its scale, because only by a man is the real size of the vehicle clear. In 1:35 scale an adult figure comes out at approximately five centimeters, so the face and the cut of the uniform are visible on it.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder; choose the method of gluing according to the material of the parts, which the manufacturer's instructions state. Wash and degrease the figures before painting. Work from the ground through a dark wash into the folds to the lightening of the raised places, and leave the faces until last. Before you glue the figures on, try them in the hatches dry and adjust the turn so that the gazes of the two figures do not cross by chance.
For builders of German equipment from the eastern front and for dioramas where a vehicle is to look occupied. The model of the tank, the paints, the glue and the tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
