Wheels for the Merkava Mk 4 tank 1:35 from PANZER ART: a resin replacement for the road wheels of the Israeli tank. An accessory for a kit, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of road wheels in 1:35 scale for a model of the Israeli Merkava Mk 4 tank. It is an accessory with which you replace the plastic wheels on a model with castings that render the hub, the openings and the rubber tire band more accurately. The running gear of the Merkava is only partly covered from outside, so the wheels are clearly seen on a finished model and it is worth concentrating on them.
The Merkava Mk 4 is the newest generation of the Israeli main battle tank, built around the principle of protecting the crew. The engine sits at the front and serves as a further layer of protection, while the rear of the hull allows entry and evacuation. The running gear uses coil spring suspension designed for quick movement over stony ground, and the wheels with their pronounced lightening holes are among the recognition features of the vehicle.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent and remove the mold release agent, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and true the surface, and sand with respiratory protection. Resin is bonded with super glue, that is, with cyanoacrylate. Fit and paint the wheels before the running gear is closed up. The Israeli sand shade fades quickly on the wheels, so after the base, lighten the faces of the hubs and finally dust the whole running gear with a light coat.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
