This is not a kit but a resin accessory. The set replaces the wheels of the truck of the British desert unit LRDG with faithfully cast wheels flattened at the point of contact with the ground, as if the weight of the vehicle were pressing on them. Intended for models in 1:35 scale.
The Long Range Desert Group was a British reconnaissance and raiding unit operating in the North African desert during the Second World War. It used modified trucks with balloon tires, which coped better with soft sand. It is exactly this characteristic profile of the tire that the wheels capture.
Wash the wheels to remove the remains of mold release, cut the casting blocks off and level the surfaces. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Fit the wheels so that the flattening points downward and stands straight on the base. The pattern of the tire will come out after painting and dusting with pigments. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
