The 1:35 WWII British 20l Canisters Late Pattern (12pcs) set from the Polish brand PANZER ART holds twelve resin castings of British twenty-liter jerrycans of the Second World War. It is not a kit but an accessory for dioramas and for loading armored equipment. The manufacturer's part number is RE35-302.
The British army entered the war with a two-gallon tin container and with a four-gallon thin-walled can which soldiers nicknamed flimsy, because it tore easily in handling. After 1940 the British took over the shape of the German standard jerrycan and had it made at home by firms such as Briggs Motor Bodies, Vauxhall Motors or Pressed Steel. The container has three handles, so one man or two can carry it, and it is formed by joining two pressings welded around the rim. Jerrycans on the fenders, on the cargo bed and on the turret belong to the typical look of Allied equipment.
For builders of Allied equipment in 1:35 and for authors of dioramas who care about a believable load on a vehicle. Twelve pieces are enough for a whole vehicle and for a few containers set down on the ground.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
