A photo-etched set in 1:35 scale for a model of the German Sturmpanzer IV. The manufacturer's instructions state which parts it holds and which kit it belongs to.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sturmpanzer IV was a German machine for direct support of the infantry. A closed armored superstructure was set on the proven chassis of the Panzer IV tank, and a 15 cm howitzer into its front wall. The weapon has no rotating turret, so it is aimed with the whole vehicle, and it suits short range above all, against fortified houses and field positions. For the modeler it is an angular machine with large flat surfaces and plentiful external equipment, on which every detail is clearly visible.
A vehicle with large flat surfaces is merciless about detail. The eye slides along the armor and stops on exactly what is too thick in plastic: on the fenders, the hangers, the protective frames, the grilles and the tool brackets. Photo-etched sheet replaces these parts in a thickness that matches the subject. The manufacturer's instructions state the scope of the package and the kit the set is designed for; check it before buying.
Keep the fret in its packaging until you are cutting from it, as bent sheet is hard to straighten. Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, work over a tray with a rim and hold them with tweezers. Make the fold over a metal edge, along the marked score line and at the first attempt. Try the assembly dry, and only then join it with the tiniest drop of cyanoacrylate. Degrease the sheet before painting, apply a base coat for metal and spray the covering shade in several light coats.
The package holds photo-etched parts. The kit of the vehicle, the paints and the glue are supplied separately, unless stated otherwise.
