The M3 Lee was an American medium tank of the beginning of World War II with an unusual arrangement of armament: the main gun of 75 mm caliber was mounted in a sponson on the right side of the hull with limited traverse, while a second gun of 37 mm caliber was in the rotating turret. The M3A1 version differs from the basic guise in its cast upper hull instead of a riveted one. The type was built in large numbers and served with other Allied armies as well, where it was also used under the designation Grant with a different turret.
The etched parts are separated with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, not by twisting. Make the folds in a bender or between two blades, so that the edge is sharp and straight. For gluing, use cyanoacrylate glue or two-part epoxy resin — ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with primer, otherwise it peels. Thin pieces of fenders and grilles should be tried dry before fitting, so that they sit on the particular plastic parts.
