This set from the Czech maker Eduard holds colored photo-etched figures of the deck crew of an aircraft carrier of the Second World War period in 1:350 scale. The figures are meant to bring the flight deck and the scenes around the aircraft on a carrier model to life. It is not a ship kit but an accessory with figures.
The decks of Second World War aircraft carriers were worked by a numerous ground crew: aircraft directors, handlers, mechanics and other personnel. These little figures give a model scale, life and the authentic atmosphere of busy activity on the deck.
The photo-etched figures are separated carefully from the fret and glued onto the deck with super glue. Flat photo-etched figures look best grouped into scenes and turned as if at work. Place them in logical groups by the aircraft, the elevators and the island of the ship.
This is a set of photo-etched figures, not a ship kit. The model, glue and other accessories are not included in the package.
