This product is a photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in fine steel (STEEL), holding German naval war ensigns of the Second World War period in 1:350 scale. It is not a model of a ship but a decorative addition that gives a ship the last realistic detail.
Thanks to the properties of the material, the little flags in thin steel can be shaped into a realistic ripple, as though the wind were filling them. They therefore look far more convincing than paper or plastic flags and are the traditional finishing touch to the build of a warship.
The steel flags are carefully shaped into a ripple, painted on both sides with the appropriate pattern (they are often pre-printed) and glued with cyanoacrylate glue to a mast or a flagstaff. Steel holds its shape better than softer photo-etched brass.
This is an addition, not a model in its own right. The ship, glue and paints are not included in the package.
