A plastic kit of the HMCS Huron in 1:350 scale from the Trumpeter brand — a full-hull model of the Canadian Tribal class destroyer as she was in 1944.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures the Canadian destroyer HMCS Huron of the Tribal class as she was in 1944, in 1:350 scale. The model from the Trumpeter brand comes as a full-hull version in injection-molded plastic with photo-etched parts, a stand with a nameplate and decals. The kit brings detailed superstructure, gun turrets and the deck fittings typical of the destroyers of this class.
HMCS Huron was a destroyer of the Royal Canadian Navy of the Tribal class that served in the Second World War. The fast and well armed vessels of the Tribal class proved themselves on escort duty, on patrol and in direct combat. The 1944 form reflects the wartime appearance of the ship and her outfit of that time.
The hull is built as a whole; remove the flash from the joints and glue with a thin cement for plastic, and fix the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a base coat (primer) before painting and spray with an airbrush; the camouflage scheme is best masked with tape and the surface brought to life with a wash into the recesses. You display the finished model on the stand supplied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
