This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard holds stainless steel photo-etch meant to improve the details of a plastic model of the British battleship King George V in 1:350 scale. It supplies the fine elements that injection-molded plastic cannot capture. It is not a ship model in itself; it is an accessory to the base kit.
HMS King George V was the lead ship of the class of the same name of British battleships in the Second World War. She carried a main armament of 356 mm guns in an unusual turret arrangement. She took part among other things in the pursuit of the German battleship Bismarck and in operations in the Mediterranean and the Pacific.
The photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a firm surface and bonded as a rule with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Make the bends along the score line. Degrease the parts before painting. The set is especially good for refining the railings, the ladders, the radars, the cranes and the fine deck fittings.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a kit. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
