A set of turned metal barrels for a model of the famous Japanese aircraft carrier of the Akagi class. It contains barrels of the main 20 cm caliber (6 pieces) and anti-aircraft barrels of 12 cm caliber (12 pieces). The metal build gives the model sharp and dimensionally accurate barrels that plastic cannot offer.
Akagi was converted from a battlecruiser and made her name as the flagship of the Kido Butai force. A model with faithful armament thus gains a markedly more realistic look.
Fitting is easy: you cut off the original plastic barrel, drill a hole in what remains of the part and glue the metal barrel in. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
