FineMolds 1:350 IJN Destroyer Sagiri is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese Fubuki class destroyer.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit captures the Japanese destroyer Sagiri, a unit of the so-called special type of the Fubuki class. The model in 1:350 scale faithfully reproduces the elegant silhouette of the ship; the name of the vessel is rendered as it looked in the prewar period, with an inscription in katakana on the port side.
The special type destroyers of the Fubuki class came about to strengthen the auxiliary vessels not covered by the limits of the Washington Naval Treaty. Sagiri belonged to type II and entered service in 1931. She fought in the Sino-Japanese War and during the Malayan campaign and became the first type II unit lost in the Second World War. In their day the Fubuki were capable and heavily armed destroyers.
The hull can be built full; consider using a stand for display. Glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic and the fine sections with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. A base color and an airbrush are recommended. The decks and the superstructures come alive with gentle emphasis of the detail, a dark wash and light weathering effects. Photo-etched railings complete the model (not included, unless stated otherwise).
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
