Responsibility details are not available.
A wooden (veneer) deck from the Artwox brand in 1:350 scale, intended for a model of the Japanese battleship IJN Mutsu. It is not a ship model but a self-adhesive overlay of fine wood veneer with laser-cut planks, which replaces the flat plastic deck and gives it a realistic wood texture. The set is intended for the Hasegawa 40067 kit.
IJN Mutsu was the second and last battleship of the Nagato class of the Imperial Japanese Navy, completed at the end of the First World War. She was among the heavily armed units of her day. In 1943 she was lost after an internal explosion. Extensive wooden decks are characteristic of Japanese battleships of that period.
Clean and degrease the plastic deck, lay the veneer on carefully and line up the openings for the turrets, the superstructure and the deck fittings. The wood can be fine-tuned with a thin oil glaze and the seams between the planks emphasized; the surface is then fixed with a matte varnish.
The accessory is supplied as a deck overlay. The ship model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
