Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the Kawanishi KX-03 aircraft in 1:350 scale from the maker Mikromir. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Mikromir has long devoted itself to little-covered and project subjects that are not to be found elsewhere on the market, and this machine is among them. The 1:350 scale is otherwise typical of ship models; on an aircraft it is a clear signal that the subject is an exceptionally large design, which an ordinary aircraft scale would make unwieldy.
Kawanishi was a Japanese aircraft design and manufacturing company, known among modelers above all for large multi-engined flying boats and naval fighters. The designation KX-03 belongs to the project work of this company, that is, to machines that remained largely at the level of a design and a drawing. With subjects of this kind the surviving documentation tends to be limited, so the particular parameters of the powerplant, the span and the crew are not generally known. The details the maker encloses with the kit are usually the most valuable thing you get with such a model.
In a very small scale cleanliness decides: every remnant of flash or an over-sanded edge is disproportionately visible at this size. Separate the parts with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors, therefore, not by twisting, and level the mating surfaces with a fine-grit file. Given the size of the parts, work with a thin cement and apply it in a minimum amount; excess at this size swallows the detail. Paint with an airbrush with heavily thinned paint in several passes; a brush will leave marks on such small areas. Consider building it on a stand or on a board with water; the model will thereby gain scale and will be easier to display.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
