This is an accessory set of small sailor figures in 1:350 scale, not a ship model. The figures are pre-painted photo-etched metal and are meant to populate the decks, bridges and stations of warship and civilian vessel models. They bring a static scene to life and give it the right sense of scale and action.
The set contains figures in various poses, standing, working and moving, suitable for placing around the deck, at the guns, on the bridge or during maneuvers. At such a small scale, figures do a great deal to create atmosphere and to bring out the size of the ship. Pre-painted photo-etched execution means the figures are printed in advance and ready to use once cut free.
Carefully separate the figures from the fret with a sharp knife, bend them along the marked lines and attach them with super glue. We recommend placing them irregularly and in logical groups so that the scene looks natural. Touching up the skin tones and a coat of clear matte varnish will add to the realism.
This is an accessory for a model, not a stand-alone kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
