1:350 North American B-25B Mitchell (Pre-painted) is a set of small plastic aircraft from Trumpeter, supplied with the surface painted at the factory.

This is not a large model of an aircraft but a small plastic set of twin-engine B-25B Mitchell bombers in 1:350 scale, that is in the scale usual for large ship models. According to the Pre-painted designation the parts come with a color surface already applied, so the set markedly shortens the road to a populated deck. Assembling them and gluing them to a model is still up to the modeler.
The B-25 Mitchell was an American twin-engine medium bomber with twin rudders and nosewheel landing gear. The B version belonged to the early series and became famous when machines of this type took off from the deck of an aircraft carrier, although it was not a carrier aircraft and landing on a ship was out of the question. In 1:350 scale the B-25B therefore appears above all as a striking piece on a deck that would otherwise be filled by smaller carrier types.
Work over a tray with a raised rim, as the parts in this scale are genuinely small and a dropped piece is hard to find. To separate them from the sprue use a sharp photo-etch knife or fine nippers, not twisting. Clean the gates up with a fine-grit file and tone the sanded spot in with a brush so that the factory finish is not lost. Glue drop by drop with thin cement or with cyanoacrylate gel, which gives you time to seat the part. Fix the aircraft model to the deck only once the deck is glued and settled, otherwise the position is hard to adjust. A final fine flat clear coat ties the factory finish in with any touching in.
This is an add-on set for ship and diorama models, not a stand-alone large model of an aircraft. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
