Military and civilian dioramas of recent years tend to be indefinite in time. Pandemic signage, by contrast, is an immediately readable signal: a viewer recognizes the period from it without a single word of caption. It therefore combines well with figures in face masks or with vehicles deployed in the streets.
For modelers who build present-day city scenes in 1:35 scale and need to anchor them in a particular time. It will find a use in figure vignettes as well, where a single striking detail carries the subject.
