A set of decals for a model of the BMW 320i touring race car of the E46 generation in 1:24 scale. It holds the sponsor markings that ordinary kits lack, because tobacco brands are left out of the boxes. It is a set of markings on its own, not a kit.
The E46 touring cars were the backbone of a number of national championships in the first half of the 2000s. They came from the production four-door sedan but had racing engineering under the body: a strengthened cage, adjustable suspension and a prepared engine. Touring car races are run over short distances and in close contact, so the cars usually bear the marks of contact with the others, which is a rewarding theme for building a model.
The ground has to be smooth and glossy; matte varnish under a decal creates a silvery veil. Cut the sheet close to the motif. Lay the large areas of the wrap from the middle toward the edges and squeeze the water out with a soft cloth. On edges and pressings use a softener and press the film into the detail with a cotton swab. Once dry, overcoat the model so that the edges disappear.
The decals are supplied on their own; the model and paints are not included in the package.
