Oscar type spot lights 1:24 from Decalcas: four covered and four open lights with clear lenses and decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of small Oscar type spot lights of the kind commonly used on rally and circuit cars. It holds four bodies in the covered form, including the decals for the covers, and four hollow bodies with their own lenses of clear resin. With one package you can therefore build both a car with its lights lit and a car with the lights covered, a situation familiar to anyone who has looked at period photographs from daytime special stages.
Spot lights belonged to rally cars as inseparably as fenders and door numbers. They were mounted on a bar in front of the radiator and on night stages they decided how far the crew could see. In the daytime they were covered with covers bearing the name of a sponsor or a team, so that the glass would not be broken by a flying stone.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release residue disappears. Cut the casting blocks off and level the surface, and sand with protection for your airways. They are glued with a super glue, that is cyanoacrylate, but on the clear lenses proceed carefully, as the fumes leave a white veil on clear resin. Glue the lens on last of all, therefore, and with a minimum of glue, or seat it in the body dry.
The set is an accessory, not a kit. The model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
