A set of the small lamps that lit the rear registration plate on British cars. Lucas supplied electrical equipment to practically the whole British car industry, so you will find this lamp shape on countless cars, from sports roadsters to sedans. On the model it is a detail the size of a grain, yet it fills in the rear end of the car exactly where a plastic kit usually offers nothing more than a suggested bump.
The parts are very small, so work with tweezers and over a tray. Wash the resin in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and separate it from the rest of the casting with a sharp knife, not with nippers. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on smooth resin. The body of the lamp was usually chrome plated or painted in the body color, and the glazed part can be suggested with a drop of clear varnish once the body is painted.
The set is an accessory, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
